Whenever I said obese / fat?
There are two simple ways to determine them:
Body Mass Index (BMI) is weight (kg) divided by the square of height (m2). If the results 25-30kg/m2 you overweight, and if the result> 30kg/m2 then you are obese.
Abdominal circumference by measuring the abdominal circumference as high as the navel. It says obesity when waist circumference is more than equal to 90cm for men and more than equal to 80cm for girls.
Why is it important to overcome obesity?
Obesity can trigger the occurrence of various chronic diseases. Started with the emergence of metabolic syndrome is a collection of symptoms of obesity, hiperinsulinemia, hypertension, glucose intolerance, and dyslipidemia to you. if it is continued, then the disease can progress to type 2 diabetes mellitus, heart disease, atherosclerosis, hypertension, etc.. It is therefore important to address obesity at an early stage so that early intervention can be done to prevent the occurrence of the above.
How is the right diet?
The right diet to lose weight is not a drastic quickly, but the weight loss reaches a slow but steady. For that you need to know the needs of your daily calories for later 500-1000kkal reduced, so get your calorie needs each day.
Your daily calorie needs can be calculated by the following simple formula:
(B) + (5 x TB) - (6.8 x age)
Women = 65.5 + (9.6 x BB) + (1.7 x TB) - (4.7 x age)
Description: BB (weight loss) in Kg, TB (height) in centimeters, and Age in years.
Example: an old man with 38 years bb = 75 kg and 162 cm tuberculosis, the daily caloric requirement is 1645.1 kcal. Thus, your caloric needs when the diet is 1645,1-1000 = 645kkal/hari. Diet does not need to be changed, only the total number of calories his meals in one day should not exceed 645 kcal.
Avoid eating fast food, and multiply fibrous foods and fruits. Diet without exercise will not yield the maximum. Because all the better when combined with exercise for 30-60 minutes a day, at least 5 times a week. It would be better if the type is aerobic but if you do not have time to choose the morning or go jogging.
When will we be able to use drug therapy for obesity?
The drugs can be used if your BMI> 30 kg/m2 or BMI = 27 kg/m2 with associated medical conditions obese. But keep in mind that the combination of diet changes, exercise and medication will give maximum results.
